Keyboard closes on message send

I don't know if this is a feature or bug but every time I hit send they keyboard closes. I'm using a vanilla rooted Galaxy Nexus with Jellybean.

This has been requested by several users and I think I'll change it in one of the future releases. On new devices there's a key to dismiss the keyboard and on older devices pressing back should always dismiss the keyboard.
