ksu green expo + organisations summer bash

Hi everyone

So Ksu will be having a green expo from the 5-7th of May. The plan is to have a sort of green hippie atmosphere...  Shall we take part? It would be our last event as this exec

It would include us having some sort of stand... don't know if we would have anything to sell (pjanti is soltu filkas forsi naqra kitchen herbs ukoll) and we could promote our AGM and maybe even put up a display of the things we did this year (naqra boasting) 

It all depends on how available everyone is. I would have finished my thesis but I will be crying over how little I know for my synoptics ;p

Pero to be honest it would make sense to go since we are the BIGGEST green organisation on campus. muahaha

NUMBER 2.

In the organisations forum we discussed a ksu organisations end of exams bash.

basically it would be a big party and organisations take part.

Here is what may interest you. $$$

The way they wish to do it is that expenses are kept to a minimum and then the profit is split. SO 

Half the profit will be divided equally amongst the participating organisations. eg 500 euros division by 10 orgs is 50 each (obv it would be more than 500 euros lol)

then the other half would be split between organisations based on a commission. The commission would be based on how many tickets each organisation sells. 

Obviously we would be at a disadvantage compared to eg MMSA who have everyone under the sun. BUT that is why there is the first process where even small organisations will get some profit. 

Tickets would be at 5 euros so not too hard to sell and almost everyone will be going so we would have to make sure to sell to our friends before anyone else.

We need to reply to muqqu soon so let me know if it's a yes or  a no. I know this would fall under the new exec, but we are the exec right now and we need to decide .. fun.

PS. Regarding summer bash...

We wouldn't have to put any money in, we'd help out with things like promotion, and maybe some other work etc. Being a small organisation they won't expect much from us, it's the big guys who will provide most of the work. And KSU would provide the money.

Regarding summer bash, Callus said that about 30 orgs (including us) would collaborate on this, so expenses would be very much diluted.

Regarding the Green Expo, I would be available for half the day on Monday 5th May and for as long as necessary on Wednesday 7th May. 6th May is impossible for me due to prattika.

Re stand - we would have to decide where to place the stand (unless slots are allotted by KSU) and whether tables are provided et cetera. Herbs are always a good idea. Flowers/roses would be a good idea since it would be less than a week before Mothers' Day.

Hey everyone 

SO regarding green week (which in actual fact is 3 days) .. I know you've all been very busy but I am fully willing to man the stand (with the sok students) and anyone of you who wishes to join.


Now,
2 options. 

Either

Tuesday (I'm free from morning till 1) 
or 
Wednesday (free from 9-3 jew xi haga hekk) 

I'd rather do it Wednesday since the sok students finish early and people would be free during degree plus. 

X'tahsbu?

Also I was thinking we could have some herbs for sale (chilli, lavendar... those made quite a big hit at fresher's week) and maybe some flowering plants. (depending on prices)

Also I'm going to try to get in touch with the Malta Falcon association to see if I can convince them to come to uni for an hour or two since bird hunting is a big topic right now and it would be our way of showing how if bird hunting were stopped the Maltese skies would be full of gorgeous falcons flying around... (The falcon association's aims are rehabilitation of birds of prey) 


Any other ideas? 

We'd have a stand... i.e a table ... the usual thing but I don't know if we'll have anywhere to hang things up.

Also we could promote our AGM
