We are currently recruiting two youth delegates (18-24) from Europe and sub-Saharan Africa to join the Student Stop AIDS Campaign team in Washington DC for the AIDS 2012 conference. The delegates will be involved in engaging other young people in activism for AIDS 2012. We especially welcome applications from young people living with HIV.
What would I be doing?
The two youth delegates will represent and embody the youth-led commitment of Restless Development and the passion of the Student Stop AIDS Campaign to take action and raise awareness. You’ll travel to Washington DC for the Youth AIDS 2012 (16th – 21st July 2012) followed by AIDS 2012 (22nd – 27th July 2012). You will be working with young people interested in HIV/AIDS issues and keen to learn more about how they can help in the fight. You and your fellow delegates will share with them good knowledge of the global pandemic, demonstrating the importance of getting involved and help to answer their questions. You’ll also take part in workshops, plenaries, sessions, exhibitions and AIDS activism coordinated over the course of the period.
