Good morning Sailors & Y-Knot Supporters!
Planning is underway for the 2023 boating season here at Camp Chingachgook and we are looking forward to being able to offer a full sailing season for Y-Knot sailors! As we continue to rebuild our programs from the effects of the pandemic, we can't thank you all enough for your continued support and participation that has ensured this amazing program lives on for many more generations of sailors! Each year, The Y-Knot Sailing Program and Camp Chingachgook celebrate the spirit of sailing and inclusion by inviting all to enjoy the waters of Lake George.

Y-Knot Sailing is a program for all, regardless of experience or physical abilities. We want to build upon the growth and success of our program by positioning Y-Knot Sailing at YMCA Camp Chingachgook as a destination where independence, safety, knowledge, competition, and fun come together to eliminate barriers to enjoying the sport of sailing.  We strive to make every aspect of sailing accessible to all individuals but we need your support to continue building back our program! Your Y-Knot donation will be fully committed to Y-Knot equipment and operations, so please consider making a tax-deductible donation today

This year, donations to Y-Knot Sailing will allow us to:

  • Launch all 6 martins for the first time since 2019 in order to provide clinics and sailing days to more sailors than the last 2 years and continue to ensure that Y-Knot sailing is free of charge to all sailors
  • Bring back (free) dockside lunch for sailors and volunteers on each sailing day
  • Fund registration fees for Y-Knot sailors to attend regional regattas
  • Promote our program in order to connect more sailors and volunteers to Y-Knot each year
More information coming soon on the 2023 sailing season, but we also wanted to share the info below from our friends at the Clagett Regatta! Anyone interested in applying to represent the US at this year's para world championships can use the link below to apply. The deadline for this is February 24!

Thank you all for your continued support and we look forward to being on the water soon!

Jiné

Thank you very much Jiné for keeping the YKnot Program front and center for our sailors and for our volunteers!
We are all looking forward to this season and can’t wait to gather on Camp Chingachgook’s world class waterfront once again to launch our Martin 26 Fleet!
