It seems to be impossible to buy a Pi 2 any longer, but I don't see an image for a Pi 3?

Has anyone gotten GRBLWeb running on a Pi 3?

Thanks in advance,

I second that - Pi 3 is readily available and has WiFi built in. Thanks and good luck!

Any news on this? I've been looking for that as well. So far without luck.

You can install node and git on the pi then use:

I might make an image once there is a 64 bit distro for the pi, although it seems that it runs just fine in 32 bit mode.  I also don't currently own the latest pi3 (that advertises 64 bit support, although I don't read about 64 bit software on raspbian) so I don't know if there is a difference in the built image for the 2 revisions of the pi3.

No I did not look at the log, and although arguing is the worst way to work I will hash it out with your terminology so the next reader might understand.

You say the issue is during the npm install of my package. First, grblweb is not a package it is an application.

When you run npm install, it looks at this file and installs the packages listed in it.

I did not write those packages, and again, if you cannot get the packages installed there is not much I can do.  I could do it for you but that is monotony.

I did not look at the log, why did you gzip it rather than just pasting the relevant text in the email?

Sorry to be harsh but installing a package is something you can figure out, you are in tech don’t you have a friend that writes code in node?

Sorry again, first time hearing from someone and to me this just seems like the horror that was tech support rather than a serious support request.

Sorry I am just not willing to help if you cannot get packages installed.

If you were local or something I could help you out or if you were willing to pay.

There are so many tutorials and so much documentation online, do you truly understand what you are doing?

After researching and much head banging.. It turns out there is an issue with serial port package in NPM (lots of frustration because  I am not familiar with NPM)
There is a workaround available from the authors of the package
sudo npm install --unsafe-perm -g sqlite3

Thanks

Great,

Thanks for replying with your solution.

Where did you see a donate link, I never put that in GRBLWeb as I recall.

If I search Google for GRBLWeb donate there are a ton of other people who have mashed it up and are accepting donations though.

I sure do love Github’s commit history.

There is no donation link, just a link to the company.

Like Redhat to their open source products, I was hoping folks would want to sit down and work together.

Still haven't got an email about it.
