Hi there,

I have the 4 axis kit from Xylotex on my Sidewinder CNC build. For some reason I'm having trouble getting the 4th Axis (blue connection) to work. I swapped the connection on the motors and both function I just can't get the blue/4th axis to move. Any thoughts? I'm probably missing something really simple.

Thanks!

Hi,

Check your parameters to make sure you have the parallel port address set correctly.  Also check to make sure you have the pin definition for the STEP/DIR set properly.

You probably don't have the A axis enabled in Mach 3.  Go to the Config tab, then Ports & Pins, then slide over the Motor Outputs and make sure you have a green check mark beside the A-Axis to enable it.

Hi,

The problem has been solved.  It was that the slave bit was not set properly.
