Just to follow up on this:  if downloading and building Xyce from source, remember to read and follow the building guide on the "Documentation and Tutorials" page of the web site, specifically the version of Trilinos you build.

Any release of Xyce can only be tested against the most recent publicly available version of Trilinos at the time of Xyce release, and the building guide states what version that is.  Using a version of Trilinos later than the one recommended in the building guide often fails due to incompatible development in Trilinos.  In the case of Xyce 6.3, the Trilinos team released version 12.0.x after the Xyce team had already frozen 6.3 against Trilinos 11.14.2.  Xyce 6.3 does not build against Trilinos 12.0.1.  It will build against any version of Trilinos between 11.2 and 11.14.2.
