Hi,

Using xyce-6.5 running in parallel under MPI, I consistently get these error messages:

...

ConstructedSingleton Problem:
---------------------------
RatioOfDimensions:   0.980089
RatioOfNonzeros:     0.805368
---------------------------

ZOLTAN Load balancing method = 9 (GRAPH)
PARMETIS ERROR: Poor initial vertex distribution. Processor 2 has no vertices assigned to it!
PARMETIS ERROR: Poor initial vertex distribution. Processor 4 has no vertices assigned to it!
PARMETIS ERROR: Poor initial vertex distribution. Processor 6 has no vertices assigned to it!
PARMETIS ERROR: Poor initial vertex distribution. Processor 8 has no vertices assigned to it!
... (many more) ...

It appears that all even numbered processors have no vertices assigned to them. This is repeated twice before the transient calculations begin.

Should I be concerned about these messages? If so, is there a way to fix them?

Do the messages only refer to the parallelization of the PARMETIS graph partitioner, and if so, will this lead to load balancing issues later during the initial/transient computations or will the partition quality be unaffected?

Should I be setting some options to use a different partitioning scheme (not GRAPH, set TR_partition_type to something else perhaps)? Does ZOLTAN have a different partitioner I can try?

Right now, PARMETIS is taking longer to partition the graph than xyce does to simulate the circuit.

Thanks for any insight you can give me.
