Sad news. For the many
people who have benefited from Kan's work,
does anyone know of a web page (facebook?)
that provides information on Kan himself ?

It is with sadness that I report that Kan died in Tokyo on Friday evening 31st March 2017.
He had an incurable degenerative lung disease that had been getting worse over the past few years. In the last year he had increasingly frequent visits to hospital but nevertheless, his death was sudden and unexpected.
Vale Kan.
