Picture breakup after fast-forward or fast-rewind on Raspberry Pi

Hi,
I've been using the XVDR Plugin for a while on an ION XBMC Client, it work very well.
Now I'm testing a second client using XBMC on Openelec on a Raspberry Pi, this
works pretty well too. Only one thing is disturbing, not sure if its an XVDR thing
or maybe the MPEG2 decoder?
After Fast-forward/rewind I get a grey screen that gradually fills up with details,
looks like MPEG2 artefacts due to where the stream starts to be replayed again.
Once the screen is complete, then all is well.

With the "start with I-Frame" option on, the time it takes to get to a complete screen
is shorter, but the problem is still there.

Is this a known problem?  Is it normal and I'll just have to live with it?
