My modded wii recently crashed, and required a rebuild...including the external usb drive housing my game library. (Still working on trying to get over a 120 games back)
I have it going again, homebrew, usbloader all working fine. I have installed a WBFS partition on a new drive, and was able to use Wii backup manager to transfer a few games i had backed up onto the WBFS partition, and they play fine...!
The problem, is that games i have downloaded in wbfs format, used two different tools to convert them to .iso files...won't show up in the wii, once i launch usbloader...the Older games are still there...but the new ones-just don't show up.
I have tried WBFS backup manager, and wbfstoiso, to convert the wbfs file...These both seem to work (no errors), and all seems well, but they are not showing up after launching usb loader! Any ideas?? Why some iso show up, and others don't??
I have installed the homebrew channel. I have installed the correct cIOS. I have also got USB Loader GX on my USB 160gb external hard drive formatted in Fat32. I have followed all instructions so far but am having trouble getting a game onto the hard drive and getting the Wii to see it. Where does the game have to go on the drive, is there a correct directory for it? Do i have to convert to WBFS file?
WBF: Wii backup format. Game format used by modified console. (Wii Backup Manager)
ISO: Original Game ISO full size 4 or 7gb (Wii Backup Manager)
WIA: Wii Image Archive. Use to backup Wii iso files or WBFS partition to save space. Use Wii Backup Fusion to convert to ISO. Then Wii Backup Manager to transfer to hard drive.
As mentioned above a folder on the usb hard drives game partition called WBFS is where the games are stored. This is the folder where all the games are copied to. You can also backup originals from disc by selecting install from the USB loader screen
