Hi Dale,

Here's what is available for the Portland route on Saturday, September 3 and the Clark/Cowlitz route for Monday, September 5.

Elberta peaches - The harvest is getting off to a slow start. I will probably run out of my allotment for this week but will have more next week.  At this point I have 100 boxes available.

#2 Suncrest peaches - I can get about 100 boxes of #2 Suncrest peaches.  They are #2 because of small size and or blemishes - 22 lb box for $32 ($1.45/lb)

Organic green beans (very limited) - 10 lb box for $30

Reply to this email to place your order. Be sure to mention your delivery location.

I take payment by cash or check at delivery time. Make checks payable to Deer Island Farms.

Order deadline is 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31.

I will be offering weekly deliveries through September and then switch to a bi-weekly schedule.

Conventional Produce

Peaches - All peaches are freestone. There are about 4 more weeks for the peach season.  O'Henry peaches will be available in a couple of weeks.

Elberta peaches - This is the favorite canning peach for many people. The pit pops out very easily and the skin is thick which makes it easy to peel. This is the beginning of the season. I will be able to fill most orders but if I run out of my allotment, there will be plenty more next week. They will be getting scarce the week after that.  22 lb box for $38 ($1.73/lb)

Elegant Lady peaches - Medium size peach. Good for any purpose -

22 lb box for $38 ($1.73/lb)

Sweet Dream peaches - Medium to large peach - sub acid - 22 lb box for $38 ($1.73/lb)

Zee Lady peaches - Medium size peach.  This is my favorite peach.  It has the perfect peach flavor with melt in your mouth texture.  22 lb box for $38 ($1.73/lb)

Donut peaches - White flesh and very sweet

20 lb box for $42 ($2.10/llb)

10 lb box for $24 ($2.40/lb)

Red Gold Nectarines - This is the only guaranteed freestone nectarine I will offer this summer. It is my favorite and has the perfect tangy nectarine flavor - 22 lb box for $40 ($1.82/lb)

Bartlett Pears - Fruit size of last week's load was actually quite nice. This week's size should be similar - 28 lb box for $27 ($0.96/lb)

Fortune Purple Plums - 22 lb box for $45 ($2.05/lb)

10 lb box for $26 ($2.60/lb)

Friar Black Plums - 22 lb box for $45 ($2.05/lb)

10 lb box for $26 ($2.60/lb)

Flavor Grenade Pluots - cross between a plum and an apricot - 22 lb box for $45 ($2.05/lb)

10 lb box for $26 - (2.60/lb)

Gravenstein apples (2022 crop) last round - 20 lb box for $25 ($1.25/lb)

Ginger Gold apples (2022 crop) - 20 lb box for $23 ($1.15/lb)

Gala apples (2022 crop) - 20 lb box for $23 ($1.15/lb)

Tomatoes - The vines have been very stressed with the heat and the tomatoes will likely have some white core which doesn't affect the flavor but there is some extra waste if you remove the white core. These are field ripe - not gassed.

#1 Grade - 20 lbs for $30 ($1.50/lb)

#2 Grade - 25 lbs for $25 ($1.00/lb)

Roma Tomatoes
