Trying to create the volume: client.xxxxx.com/Myvolume

Using options:
  Owner:            root
  Owning group:            root
  Mode:                777
  Access Control Policy:    POSIX

  Default striping policy:        RAID0
  Default stripe size (object size):    128
  Default stripe width (# OSDs):    1

Failed to create the volume, error:

using vmworkstation 8  | centOS 6.3 | and dhcp | firewall is disabled 

any suggestions?

Hi Robert,

Thank you for your post.

It looks like this is a very rare bug which occurs only if the hostname
points to the loopback device and no other device. I've created an issue
for it: http://code.google.com/p/xtreemfs/issues/detail?id=287
I'll fix this in the code next week.

In the meantime, you can probably workaround this problem by pointing
the hostname to the machine's IP on the LAN in /etc/hosts.
