Status of the project

Hey guys!

What is the current status of the project?

Is there any updates pending? Or whatever was ever released is what we can download?

I like the project, but since the lack of xtrabackup 2 support, i'm not ready to use it.

On other hand, if no new updates were done and no plans on releasing new version, maybe we should fork it?

Hi Aleksey,

I have not been working on this project since I left my last company, Marin Software -- they were the ones sponsoring me developing it.

I had best intentions of trying to keep up work on it when I left, but in reality, that never eventuated.

I now do a lot of work on the backup infrastructure at Facebook for my day job, so doing similar work on this project in my limited spare time was hard to muster motivation for.

I would be more than happy to hand over the "keys" to the google code repo/project to any individuals interested in hacking on it further.

I'm also going to be around at the Percona Live MySQL Conf in Santa Clara this week if you or anyone else are going to be there and would like to talk about it.

Unfortunately i won't be able to attend it, but maybe another time when it will be somewhere in the Est :P

I'd like to help with a project for sure, but i want to make sure that i have enough skill to contribute.
