XFT logging

I'm the system admin and i'm trying to assist the xft admins and we are seeing a lot of logging in different locations.  Specifically in /var/log/messages.

They tell me they are running version 3.1 and I was wondering if there are newer log settings that can send xtf logs to a separate file ?

Hi Chris,

I'm surprised the logs are going to /var/log/messages. They should be coming to Tomcat's catalina.out file(s), most often in your tomcat/logs/catalina/ directory.

You may be using a packaged version of Tomcat with setup specific to your operating system. I would research that combination to find out how to redirect the log messages.
