Please support on ​which version of X-stream is compatible with RHEL8.6 and SUSE15 SP3 & JDK17.

XStream 1.4.19 was explicitly tested against Java 17, but there's no specific
reason why earlier versions shouldn't run as well.

XStream is a Java library and ensures that it can run in a standard Java
environment. If you wanna know whether RH or SUSE provide such an environment,
you have to ask there.

I can assure you that 1.4.19 did run on Gentoo Linux of 2022/1/29, because
that's my environment.
