Please don't tell me that Autodesk already killed the new community site.  I'm getting nothing when I go to:  http://community.softimage.com/

probably just a technical glitch or the database is down again - it's done that a few times already.

Yes, it's down.
The gerbils in the wheels powering the servers all ran out of seeds, and the seed-man (who's a different person from the inseminator, don't get confused) is currently not on the premises because he's being inducted by Autodesk and taught the ways of the area.
Anyone in Montreal who's got the keys and can go feed the rodents?

can we make some how a back plan when they would close this list?
so we can run this list even on our own?
we better do this quick
maybe a list of our emails and name would be good

it's down?  Must be Friday.

btw, we're still Avid employees at this time.  Wait for the final confirmation at the end of November.

Wouldn't it be funny if the deal was refused? :)

From now on everything bad is because of Autodesk. :)

I don't see a need to hurry, but it could be good to talk about where to host it just in case, so that there aren't 50 lists all of a sudden.
I liked Google Groups most, since it has little clutter compared to yahoo, very good search and is pretty easy to maintain.
So I would vote for the already existing Google group XSI_list that was mentioned before, since the content of the current list is already there...

Cheers,

Thomas Helzle
