I was thinking I could use this ICE feather generator for the bird. But... how do I bake all of those ice strands into a NORMAL map? Anyone has an idea? https://vimeo.com/41321274

Please help. Long ago I remember an XSI tutorial about baking an elephant into a plane. I´m sure we can bake ICE strands into a Normal map (plane?).
Thanks.

Ultimaper ? (if I recall the name) that thing was able to bake from HD to lowpoly, and there was some normal map. Maybe you'll need to mesh the strands before.

yeah! Thanks. I had forgotten.
Question: I should just overlay the high poly feather object on top of a low poly object, right? and then "ultimap it", right? will it be able to bake a 6k squared map?
