Delta Export not working in current Project ??

Hi,

 

In 2010 SP1, we cannot export a ref model’s delta in the  current project.

It complains that the destination is read only.

Exporting to a location outside the project works.

 

Exporting deltas works fine in Soft 7.5. Also tried it on different servers with same behaviour.

We are able to export other things without a fuss.... Just deltas being picky.

We don’t export deltas very often, so not sure if that ever worked in 2010.

 

Anybody else ?

I get this once in a blue moon. Not sure what causes it. Most (if not
almost all) of the time I can export them no problem.

Remember also that exporting a Delta with the same name as an existing
file will error, as XSI refuses to let you overwrite a .delta file
when exporting.

Hi Alan,

All I get is this :

// ERROR : 2081-FILE-ExportDelta - Read-only destination: Actions\Deltatest.delta
ExportDelta(null, null);

whenever I try to overwrite or create a delta inside my current project.

Just plain odd.

Does it only happen in that particular project? Does it save on
another project in a similar path?

Does not work on any project at all, anywhere, even localy (just tried that), or on the network.
I surely have access rights to the destination folder, this is my current project !
Similar tests do work in 7.5, no problem at all....

Hi,

I reproduced this issue and I logged a bug for it. As a workaround you can use the absolute path to export the delta or go in the delta's ppg, in the advance tab choice external storage, offload and reload (status) the delta to export it.
