Hey list,
in case you might encounter the problem that dotxsi import/exort doesn’t work *and* the missing path variable does not cause it (like described by the extremly helpful Stephen Blair https://xsisupport.com/2012/05/07/the-case-of-the-missing-dotxsi-dll-nt-or-libdotxsi-so-irix/ ), it can possibly be of another reason.
In my case the system env variable was correctly set to the path C:\Program Files\Common Files\Softimage and the file “Crosswalk_2015.0.64.dll” was there.
I now had this problem the second time and fixed it by repairing the Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable.
Windows Settings/Apps/Installed Apps/Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable -> Modify/Repair.
Started with repairing VC 2015, going backward. After repairing the 2013 version, the error was gone and crosswalk import/export worked again.
I don’t know what damaged the c++ package originally, though.
Just for future reference. Have a nice weekend all.
Cheers,
Sven
