There's been a lot of nice speed and quality improvements to Arnold lately so I thought it was time for another release. However, after I installed it in the workgoup, the plugin manager shows two warnings regarding dlls not found:

Library not found:

[...]\softimage_13.2_2023_workgroup\Addons\SItoA\Application\Plugins\bin\nt-x86-64\OpenImageDenoise_device_sycl.dll

[...]\softimage_13.2_2023_workgroup\Addons\SItoA\Application\Plugins\bin\nt-x86-64\pi_level_zero.dll

 

These files do exists inside the folder. I read something about a PATH variable that has to be set, according to here:

Arnold works ok but can I set the variable anywhere? I tried a windows system variable and a softimage env variable but that didn’t work.

Hmm... that's strange. I don't get that issue. Have you restarted Softiamge?

Have you checked the system requirements of Arnold as well so you meet them?

Yes, I have restartet Softimage as well as the workstation several times.

Installed newest nvidia (studio) driver.

System requirements *should* met (maybe newer visual-C-runtimes are required. I will check that).

 

It might be caused by other plugins installed in the workgroup. I had that kind of issues in the past. I will check that as well amd report back.

I wasn’t able to get rid of the two dll warnings. Don’t know what the pi_level_zero.dll does or for what it’s needed but all the denoiser shaders are working.

 

What I’ve checked so far:
Installed newest VC Runtimes (all in one, november build).

Installed newest windows updates.

Installed newest nvidia driver (workstation only).

Disconnected the workgroup and created a new one just with arnold.

Installed arnold addon locally in user root.

Executed runonce.bat.

 

Did all the above also on a rendernode which has win10 installed instead of win11.

Both machines have a freshly installed windows.

 

The two warnings about missing dlls persisted. I have other dll warnings inside the plugin manager as well (one with redshift and two inside the softimage factory path regarding directx). Might be related. But as said, arnold itself seems to work just fine so I won’t care atm.
