Hi,

I started off with what looked like a simple effect in ICE. Raindrops
falling on the ground, which splash/disappear into some new particles
that fade away.

Somehow I end up with something that doesn't really works. Probably
nodes linked into the wrong places or over engineering.

First part of emitting etc. is working just fine.
For the second 'stage' I've tried setting up states which test hitpoints
on particle and grid, and trigger a delete particle for the disappearing
part, but that doesn't seem to work or renders my simulation inactive.

i can recall someone setting up a base compound for this, or am I mistaken?

Any tips this are appreciated,

rob

Rob.

If you don´t want create from scratch, you can play with this ready compounds:

Spawn on Collision
Emit Splash from Surface Collision.

For Spawn, you need before compute de "collision" using "Test collision with surface" compound.

If you want, i can send a screenshot of ice tree for waterdrop effect using existing compounds.

Malcolm
