Hey list,
Autodesk took down the arnold user guide/documentation for Softimage a few weeks ago. Does anyone have it locally or a download source?
Thanks,
Sven

Have seen this refresh glitch in the F-Curve Editor with ATI/AMD cards but not with Nvidia cards. I used a GTX980Ti and now a 3080Ti successfully with XSI.
I used both cards also with Redshift and Arnold in XSI. Worked like a charm. I havent’t heard anything about the 40xx generation together with Softimage yet.
The Nvidia Control Panel has a preset setting for Softimage. Doesn’t do much I guess, but doesn’t hurt either.
For your 1080 card Nvidia also offers the “Studio Driver” version. It might work better, even I think it will detect the card as a GTX and not as a Quadro and therefore installs driver components accordingly. But you can give that a try as well.

I didn’t say anything about external cards for use with anything.
Using the studio drivers from Nvidia will most likely *not* solve your problems. Im glad to help with specific problems in case you have any.

Yeah, I don’t see why it shouldn’t work. At least for the GUI.
GPU rendering might be different when using older versions of a renderer that was designed for an older generation of cards.
Feel free to share your experiences when you got the new one. :)
