Hello Keith, Bert, Stefan, Keith, Ra, Brad, Bill ??   (and others…)

I know you mentioned you were excited about XRMS, but we haven’t heard anything recently.

Are you in agreement with the progress? Are you too busy? Anything?

Feel free to help out with getting the current project of testing the Installer under way.

…Looking forward to the feedback!

Yes, I am keen to see XRMS progress: I have made that clear.

What I am not keen on is being cajoled into writing a reply on a mailing
list simply because you haven't heard anything from me in a few days. Like
most other people, there are other things in my life besides XRMS, and you
rattling the cage is emphatically not going to make me change my
priorities.

As I said before, I have some very primitive code to start implementing
conversion rate tracking. It needs some more polish and testing, and when
it's ready I will submit it via one of the lead developers for inclusion.
Until then, you are welcome to ask if you feel there is something specific
you need, but do not not not just push me into writing a reply for the
sake of it.

Keith

Hello All,

I've been out of it due to the birth of my daughter, but that said, I am still not clear on where we are headed. I will test the installer this weekend and provide comments, but having managed numerous software development projects over the years, I would like to get a feel for where we are takign the product and when. I am happy to help with that.

Thanks,
Brad

Keith-
I appreciate the response. I try and keep track of everyone, but it's
not that easy.

As long as you're aware we're pushing forward and that you have
allocated some amount of time to this, that's all I or anyone can ask.
This is all free work.

The need is to complete the installer testing. Please don't understand
my "ping" email as me attempting to twist your arm. I just want to make
sure everyone that is interested has not fallen off the map.

Brad-

That all sounds fine. If you’re looking for a project plan, roadmap, etc… There isn’t such a published documented, though I imagine a few people have something floating around as a draft or in their head.

There is no money here, so until we can get some traction with the few that are interested, we’re stuck in the mud. Once things have progressed, we’ll have something to release.

Right now, since I’m just trying to organize one task (sub-task of a release) and complete it, and that is to test the installer and document bugs. If we can’t accomplish that, then it’ll be obvious an alternative action is necessary. I really have no idea what that alterative might be at this time, so let’s not go there :)
