Gate pass for Taxis?

Starting from August we can no longer have taxis/deliveries/etc. enter the facility without getting a gate pass from our "host who is an employee not a guest." This has to be done every time. Who is our host? How do we submit a gate pass request? In the past all we needed to do was call the main gate and let them know someone was coming.

In case of taxi pick-up, food delivery, etc…

-        The delivery person must have identification with them, and must be a US citizen

-        During work hours: ask a staff member (beamline, control room, FloCo, admin) to submit a GATE PASS request on https://intranet.bnl.gov/gateaccess/

-        after hours: call the security booth at ext. 2240, and let them know that you are expecting a delivery and the business’ name.

 

This has always been the process, but now security is tightening up on the requirement.
