Hello all

Look at me, abusing this email group yet again... Do tell me if there's any agreed protocol for this kind of thing... but anyway...

I'm really keen to get hands on again, building some more software. This is something I always like to do alongside the freelance stuff, as it keeps my knowledge and experience sharp, and also I just enjoy building stuff.

Up until recently I was working on building a mobile app with a small team headed by Diana Montalion (author of Learning Systems Thinking), but that contract has now ended so I'm looking for something new.

I have extensive experience in all languages and frameworks, including full stack but with particular expertise in back end stuff with C#, Javascript, Java, Ruby, Python, Dart... I mean tbh if I start listing things I'll be here all day. My most recent contract was a mobile app built using Dart, Flutter and Firebase serverless.

I find I get better results when I go direct to my network rather than the more impersonal route of recruitment agents and job ads. So, if any of you know of anyone looking for a shit-hot seasoned engineer with a predilection for all things XP... let me know.

And I promise I WILL be at the next XPMan. I couldn't do the recent one cos I was attending Geepaw Hill's Leading Technical Change course (and I highly recommend it)... which, legend that he is, seems like a reasonable excuse. :joy:

Hoping someone can help, and see y'all soon!

Cheers
Clare.

I can't help, but I hope something good comes up from this. 😊

If you do end up with the most desirable of desirable gigs (£5m budget, 10years to do it, low expectations and a interesting, very achievable goal with reasonable stakeholders), will you update us? If this is the start of a chapter in your story book, I'd like to know what happens next. 😅

Best of luck,

Tim
