Today, the Berkeley Linux User group met, and I started to work on a parser for Wodim output. Unfortunately, I didn't actually have any blank CDs, so my parser currently only handles some headers (before Wodim checks to see if there's a disk in the drive).

So, I need a log of a successful Wodim session!

First, download an ISO file. Any ISO will work: I recommend DamnSmallLinux ISOs as they don't take much time to download. Running the command "script -c "wodim -tao -v -speed=8 -data (name of ISO file here)" wodim_log.txt" will burn your ISO to a CD and write the session log to "wodim_log.txt". Then, just attach wodim_log.txt to an email (or paste the contents) to this mailing list.

Thanks in advance!

I used a more primitive version of the script command that by default
writes to "typescript" for this burn. I used the command that Robert
recommends in the "cdwrite.sh" script I posted to burn a 32 bit Ubuntu
CD which is a little longer than DSL.

Great, guys! I've gotten quite far on the parser (I now can get the progress meter output) and will push to Git as soon as I fix a particularly ornery regex.
