this script that Robert Wall wrote. With a few relatively small
changes I use it to create Ubuntu discs as I am doing today at
Noisebridge for Noisebridge. I made 20 desktop discs, 10 x 32 bit and
10 x 64 bit.
The changes I made to my private copy are:
1. I don't use some of the beeps or ejects as my drives sometimes act
a little different than Robert's it seems
2. when inserted my disc takes 15 seconds to spin up instead of 10
3. I add the $DEVICE to each eject because I use an external USB
burner sometimes
4. I add a command to give the date & time before and after the wodim
command so I can check how long it took: date --iso-8601=seconds
5. I burn at 16x instead of 8x to save 1/2 the time it takes
6. I don't check the MD5SUM/SHA256SUM each time because it always
fails on my disc for a reason I haven't fully researched yet
So today I ran "cdwrite.sh 10
~/IsoImages/ubuntu-10.10-desktop-i386.iso" to create some discs.
