eXpOS Update

Hi all,

    The eXpOS release is being used simultaneously at NITC as well as IIT Palakkad for OS lab course.  Things are going well, though at a slightly slow pace.

    The fastest group of  students (around 5-6 batches out of around 40) have reached
stage 22 (completed process management - fork, exec, exit; and IPC calls  signal-wait  and semaphore implementation).   One group has started with the file system implementation.  (For old XOS team members, in the new system process system calls are implemented before file system).  Bulk of the class is between stage 16 and stage 19. 

     At IITPKD, where classes started two weeks later, a few students have reached stage 19. 

Most of the class is in and around 16-17-18. 
  

     Overall, the project appears doable.  Arun is fixing the bugs that are reported midway.

Rohit also joined to support Arun, though he is not doing this as his major project. 

    I will send detailed update at the end of the semester.
