Sir
We checked the error. Seems like this is an issue with the compiling. An instruction like s="a:bc"; gets compiled to MOV R0,"bc"MOV R2,BP. We are still not thorough with expl compiling since we didn't take the compilers lab and we have a few assignment deadlines coming up. We will try and ask Vishal to check this error if possible, since he did the compiler lab. We will also try to fix this as soon as possible.

I happen to get this old bug report from my mail.  Perhaps we can check and confirm whether this bug is fixed.

Hello Sir,
I have encountered the following bug in expos.
When I try to assign a string having colon(':') as one of its characters (the exceptional case being colon is the first character in the string) to any str variable in expl, illegal memory access shows up in an expl program having such an assignment.

Regards,
Shrey Kaushik.
