Anjal,

I am also unable to find out some of the orthographic forms of vowels like 'o' 'ou' etc.although 

they can be used in the consonant clusters. Since, there are many words in Assamese where

we simply don't use the representation of vowel symbols rather the orthographic forms such 

as 'khao' 'Ouxodh' 'iman' etc. Please help me out. Thanks

Yes, a review is necessary . Some people translate some word like this:
Viewing in alphabetical order: aakhor onujayi sawon (অৰ্থ:আখৰ অনুযায়ী চাৱন) |

If anyone not familiar to the translation process, please read the translation guidelines.

We have to edit such translation properly.

But at that time (at present also) I was facing the problem in correcting already submitted contributions. I can easily correct my own submission. But the same is not possible for others. Seems like the enthu has gone down, and I want to blame SafeSearch and Strict Filtering for this. I just completed 13 entries with words সুৰক্ষিত সন্ধান, কঠোৰ ছেকনি, আৱদ্ধ etc. I think সুৰক্ষিত stands for secure-may be a mistake-somebody might edit my 13 entries- but along with discussion , please carry on word submission too--don't just keep on discussing and waiting for someone...

Meanwile---if somebody can confirm by talking with Google authority that completing those words will ensure Google.com in axomiya language--that will be great....It will add more enthu to all..

Regarding Xobdo.org-- We don't have all the words that are required for that page. If anybody is a member of Xobdo, we are discussing this extensively in xobdo group,and many members are contributing.

I checked today in one of their internal site where Assamese language is standing on 89%.
Discussion is good, but axomiyas are famous for only mouth talk. I did not reply to this thread 2 hours back as I wanted to complete 25 words of submision today.
So,please join hands... Sumission procedure is so asy if you start---even if you are finding some issues please, please bring it to notice...

Only 224 words remaining in main page, with 90% completion for assamese language overall.

All the words related to SafeSearch are completed by me(I hope so--they won't appear again), remaining are very short and comparatively easy.

One important thing-- I have seen some one translated many sentences but used elnglish letters only, instead of axomiya letter like moi etiya likhi asu.

Raiz can start tyong his english letters in axomiya by going to Edit existing translations page. That guy is almost right in every case-- so you need not to think , simply write in axomiy in Sabdolipi or Avro or by anything.

 

I have also written to Google guys asking for status as we have completed 90% , and I can see bengali stands there with 91% completion.

Regarding that 'crap thing'-- if you are observing for the first time, welcome to the GREAT ASSAMESE MENTALITY club. I have seen these kind of things in many other forums too, where some crazy people simply don't understand the meaning of BEING SERIOUS. Now let me stop here--otherwise, I will keep on writing all my frustrations against হব দে, ধুত! বাদ দে type mentality of many axomiya. I simply hate this-- but rather than [Trying to]changing myself , i don't know any other way to solve this problem.

If anyone don't know how to write Assamese Please don't try to edit the existing Phrases. A group of people working very hard to complete the translation process. Please don't use English characters in place of Assamese characters.
The main  version has now completed .Now, we are busy with the revision process.

 It's amazing !!! I write this post on 6 July. And within 10 days we have completed the preliminary process. Thanks everybody................

IN between the revisions, we should also write to Google people asking about their plan on Axomiya. As per their FAQ, once 100% done, their team will review for some days. We need to know are they reviewing axomiya currently.

Anybody knows specific team/person inside Google will be of great help..

I also want to go for the process of editing. But I facing some problem, Because in my Laptop I have only Avro keyboard and my operating system is Windows7. So i think that Avro isnot working with windows7. Please let me know what to do now. I have already download and installed the Baraha Unicode. Waiting for your reply.

I have also observed that in many places where I corrected চাওঁক, দেখুৱাওঁক as চাওক, দেখুৱাওক etc have been replaced once again. One should be careful in editing. Thanks.

I am afraid the  চাওঁক Vs চাওক guy is not from our XOBDO group. Of course, he is also trying his best, but need to understand he is wrong. I am not sure how we can stop this other than writing to Google guys, which I just did.

@Kanchan: I prefer to keep গুগ'ল instead of Google-- Proper Nouns we should not modify, but I guess no rule is preventing us from writing in axomiya letters. same with irish, haiti etc. What say Raiz?

 

Also, there are some words twice-so you might have modified one, but there is oen still remains editied.

Summary--I am trying to convince all no need to get tensed-we are doing good and will continue to do so.

Hi All,

Kudos to the group for carrying this initiative forward. I was probably one of the earliest guys who started with this initiative in 2004-05. You can search for posts with 'Satyakam' and 'Priyankoo' in the discussion forum for Translations. Initially I used the English fonts for the translations as in 2004-05 we did not know of any Assamese unicode fonts to support translations. Priyankoo da was also there in this initiative. Much of the mess we are cleaning up now is due to people like us who did not use Assamese unicode font for the translations.

After learning to type in Assamese, I again started to translate. But all I tried in the recent couple of weeks are again translated into English fonts. It is not somebody who is doing it as if you click 'Edit' against any such translation, in the resulting page, your Assamese font translations are still there. Firstly I thought that there must be some verifying authority who checks my translations and probably he/she may verify them to get the new translations reflected. But now it seems this is an error as the translations which I did last week also are still showing as in English fonts, but if I click on 'Edit' it shows my Assamese font translation.

There is some problem with Google Translation I guess.

Is anybody facing a similar problem.

I think this keyboard is a virtual (online) keyboard. Avro is a desktop application with both  mouse and keyboard typing options. Also the icomplex script packed with this software installs lots of Unicode compatible Assamese font (Configures your OS for Assamese)

'Aspect ratio' is a term in Physics. The aspect ratio of a shape is the ratio of its longer dimension to its shorter dimension. Someone has translated it as আনুমানিক হাৰ which is not acceptable. Does anybody know the actual term as per অসমীয়া পৰিভাষা?

@Kanchan- You are right-the number is from AP.I just called up that number. He just opened the site in Wetpaint.com free, one year back with his mobile number. He speaks proper hyderabadi, and seems to be completely unaware of this misuse of his site's name. Besera tue enei dutamaan gali khale..

 

There are total 180+ members with XOBDO, and I don't rule out somebody among us is playing the prank. Well, it is not much difficult to get the name of the prank editor- let's keep 2-3 of the mobile phone website name as it is, for time being. From the last edited entry - Google people can easily find out the culprit. A few axomiya are working in Google,and they will help us in tracking him/her. And believe me, moi seituk pale murder korim.

 

I also found a facebok profile with "polakh boruah" ..but did not spend much time into this.

 

@All: Please don't publicize this on SN sites as of now. It will be easy to find out ghorua culprit inside XOBDO.
