Very basic question may be..

What is the pronounciation difference between জ আৰু য ?

Like dontiya do & ontiyasto do -- where one is the tongue touching the teeth and the other the back of the your mount.

What does borgiya mean? Need a quick answer:)

I think, বৰ্গীয় means belonging to the square or "borgo" ... meaning this জ is the first 5x5 square of the consonant arrangement of Assamese alphabets.
On the other hand, অন্তস্থ means situated at the end as য is towards the end of the alphabets.
This is based on own understanding, I might be wrong. Please ask in facebook as well.

In Assamese phonetics, there is no difference between the two Jo  জ য as well as the To ত ট and Dos দ ড . The names are misleading and copied from Sanskrit alphabet.
