Friends:I just arrived Guwahati. I have seen the messages from Bikram and Priyankoo regarding some wrong reporting of Xobdo.org. Just to let everybody know that I have not seen the reporting yet. However I want to clarify that I am not involved in creating Xobdo.org in anyway. It is the creation of Bikram & Priyankoo and others and we will present that way. In the FASS MEET we will simply present the Video interview done by Bikram in FASS GHY during his visit to Guwahati in December. This is also to clarify that FASS is simply a platform where such efforts and plans can be presented to the public. In fact, in this MEET, another Online Dictionary also will be presented. FASS encourage the concept of the Online Dictionary without trying to get into details of these. Please rest assured that good work will never go without proper credit.Hope this clarifies the matter.I have seen a great deal of goodwill for the MEET. People are expecting a lot from the NR-NEIs. Let us hope we all will be able to help the North EAst at this critical time.Rajen Barua

Hi all,I 100% agree with Priyankoo. We are very disheartened to see that the name of XOBDO is used to highlight someone's name who does nor really have much contributions to XOBDO. Except few emails as part of our discussions, he does not have much contributions. The members whose toils go to the effort are really unhappy. We hope such misinformation are not spreaded in the future.Sorry, we had to write these on this happy occasion. Anyway, wish you a grand success for the FASS-2008 meet.Best Regards,Bikram M. Sorry to bring it up on the eve of the FASS meeting. We, the Xobdo.org
team have noticed some inconsistencies in the reporting of activities
of Xobdo in Asomiya Khobor.

We sent FASS the following press release from us:

Let me address a few inconsistencies reported in Asomiya Khobor (and
maybe in other newspapers):
1. The 500 contributors reported in the newspaper are not all NRAs but
a substantial number of them are from Assam and from other parts of India.
2. For the key people associated with Xobdo you may refer to the Xobdo
video at:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6829609788230718162
3. Xobdo is NOT going to be inaugurated at the FASS as reported in the
news item. In fact Xobdo WAS inaugurated on 14 Apr 2006 and since then
it has been functioning as a full fledged website.
4. Xobdo's publicity is looked after by Buljit Buragohain and apart
from Pallav Saikia, Bikram Baruah and Priyankoo Sarmah we have never
authorized anyone to talk about Xobdo to the press. In this occasion
however, we did send the above linked press release from us with the
hope of adhering to its content.
We thank FASS for the opportunity to present our project in the meet
at Guwahati. However, we as an organization are not affiliated or
connected to FASS in any way. We do wish that the FASS meet a grand
success and we will continue to correspond and update FASS with our
Xobdo project status.
Do visit us at: www.xobdo.org
Hope this clears things up.
best
