How to upload DICOM images into my image session.

Hi all,

I created a new datatype as extension of xnat:mrSessionData that is still an MR session with just few more fields concerning hardware information. Now I would like to upload some DICOM image sessions into my new datatype experiment, however it seems like the available upload tools detect the image modality from the DICOM header and they create the image session accordingly.

Is there a way to upload a DICOM dataset into an existing myNewMRSessionData session?
