Anonymous LDAP binding

Hi, I think this has come up before but I couldn't find an answer.

I'm trying to use the LDAP authenticator. plugin with XNAT 1.8.2. It expects a user DN and password for a 'service account' in order to do the initial user ID lookup before authentication. In our organization this can be done anonymously but there doesn't seem to be an option for this - is there a way of doing it that anybody knows?

I have got it working using my personal credentials so I know the rest of the configuration is OK - but obviously this isn't an option longer term.
