Dear all,

I want to install the Rapid Reader plugin, which can been seen here on the right side: https://youtu.be/YI2UqZ8XvT4?t=282

However, when I build it and copy the jar to the plugins folder, XNAT does not install it.

1) Is this actually the plugin shown in the video and mentioned in the paper?
2) If yes, where can I find a more detailed installation guide?

Best,

Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,

I’m not sure what the state of that plugin is. That was written by someone who used to work in our lab, but I don’t believe that ever got to a release state. The plugin is probably installed just fine, but it’s not configured to register properly with the XNAT on which it’s installed and I’m not sure what it takes to have it display its menu items.

There’s another version of the rapid reader that was under active development much more recently, but that was meant to be a stand-alone application, running either on a server or local Node instance or embedded in a Docker container.

That second reader uses the same OHIF viewer component that’s used in the XNAT desktop client. I’m not sure what the viewer in the first plugin is based on.

Just confirming that the Rapid Reader application -- not the plugin -- is what Simon was demoing during last year's workshop. The application is not at a production release state yet, but it is fairly mature at this point and hopefully will be in a releasable state soon.

Many thanks for your answers!

In general, is the integration of text input fields into the OHIF viewer plugin feasibel? With the possibility to export them as an experiment? Could you recommend tutorials?
