Sanket,
Is there maybe an ownership or permissions problem? Does the Tomcat user have permissions to write in /home/xnat/PREARCHIVE/Prot123? The Out of Resources message doesn’t necessarily mean exactly what it says – there’s a very limited vocabulary of DICOM error messages so Out of Resources winds up covering nearly everything that can go wrong on the XNAT side.

Subject: [XNAT Discussion] DICOM Browser Upload failure
Hi,
I just installed a fresh copy of Xnat. Followed all the instructions.
Now when I open Dicom Browser to upload files. and when I do a 'Send' to the port-number and Ip address. It says 'Export failed: FAILURE a700 Out of Resources: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /home/xnat/PREARCHIVE/Prot123/2341234
Here, (obviously) Prot123 is the name of the project, (which I have already created) and 2341234 is the name of subject/patient.
Can someone please tell me what has gone wrong. The disk as enough empty space. Although the directory/folder 2341234 doesn't exist. ( It is not supposed to exist, should be created automatically). This never happened before. It used to automatically create the Project directory and subject directory in the Prearchive and later in the Archive.
