After project deletion, I cannot reuse the project id

Hello All,

I created a new project with name, id as "test2"

I deleted this project completely and I tried to create another project with same id "test2"

Now the creation fails throwing the following error: Invalid Id: 'test2' was previously used as a project ID and cannot be reused.

So is it not possible to resue projectId's in Xnat? Is it a bug or some feature, not clear to me!

That’s a feature. It’s a security issue, because data from the deleted project can continue to exist, and re-using that ID would allow other users to access the “deleted” data and possibly breach confidential subject data.
