Hi all,
I'm placing dicoms in sessions via rest and occasionally a dicom file fails to make it into the resource catalog.  I now have a file that I can't overwrite or delete unless I go to the filesystem.  Is there a way to tell xnat through rest/pyxnat to totally ignore the resouce catalog and forcefully delete/upload the file?  pynxat's overwrite=true is not working.

Hi Ben,

I *think* that this was actually a bug that we’ve addressed in the 1.6.2 release. I spent a good while poking through the thicket here to get it working properly, but yes, it’s a problem in 1.6.1 and, as best I know, there’s no way to fix it other than going to the file system. You could relatively easily write a little REST extension that just takes the relative path within the archive and deletes that file, but that of course is a really large-bore shotgun fully loaded with a hair trigger pointing right at your foot, so you should be careful.
