Greetings,
Is there any way to write a pseudo-anonymized script for clinical trials?
So that
1. Another hospital number (which can be rule-based so it would be the same for future uploads of the same patient) is created which can be matched with the internal database.
2. Follow-up imaging of a particular patient will be assigned to that patient in the future.

Thanks in advance.

Warm Regards.

Hi there,

Have you read through XNAT's anonymization capabilities here https://wiki.xnat.org/xnat-tools/dicomedit ? I would hope that the answer is yes, that XNAT can do what you are hoping for, but I'm having some difficulty following your requirements.

Thanks,

Dear Charlie,

Thanks for reply.
Usually when we anonymise the scan, the following up MRI of same patient can't be added to under same patient name (unless we manually trace it and put same number through dicom uploader client).
I assume subject names are anonymised to subject 1 etc. automatically within a project.
Also is there a way to automatically seperate the dicom data through script (e.g. mri data sent from particular institution will be in particular folder)

Or am I missing something here?

Having some issues while trying to run anonymisation script. Is there any training video ?

I was trying to follow this.

Regards
Akshay

Hi Akshay,

A lot of these questions depend on your particular upload workflow, so it would be very helpful to add more details on how you're using XNAT. In "mri data sent from particular institution will be in particular folder", what does "particular folder"? Do you mean routing to a specific project? You can define custom routing rules in the admin UI based on the Institution tag in the DICOM if so https://wiki.xnat.org/documentation/xnat-custom-dicom-routing-rules-in-the-admin-ui

Thanks,
Charlie Moore
