What's in the XNAT 1.9.2.2 Release?

The XNAT 1.9.2.2 release addresses several issues found in XNAT 1.9.2 and in related plugins. This release is coupled with several plugin updates. Improvements include:

  • Fix for a long-standing issue with displaying results for searches by exact IDs

  • Fix a regression in the ability to pull additional data from DICOM headers on import

  • Fix a file-handling issue that can prevent containers from finalizing

  • Enable faster performance of the Batch Launch Dashboard and other searches that can use SQL subqueries

For the full list of improvements, see our XNAT 1.9.2.2 Release Notes.

Related Plugin Releases

We recommend updating these plugin versions alongside this XNAT release to take full advantage of these updates.

  • Batch Launch Plugin 0.8.1 - when coupled with XNAT 1.9.2.2, delivers improvements to processing dashboard load times

  • Container Service 3.7.2 - provides improved stability when running the Container Service in multi-node XNATs

  • Distributed Events Plugin 1.1.0 - enables propagation of site config changes across all front-end nodes in a multi-node XNAT system

  • LDAP Auth Plugin 1.3.0 - When coupled with XNAT 1.9.2.2, addresses a critical issue that can affect user logins after an upgrade, and provides greater flexibility for user credentialing in LDAP servers

Note for those Upgrading from XNAT 1.8.x:

Updating to XNAT 1.9.x from XNAT 1.8.x is largely the same process as before. However, due to the number of changes affecting plugins, we strongly urge you to follow all recommended safeguards, including backing up your data and performing the update in a test system with thorough QA before deploying to production.

You can find our updated documentation on upgrading XNAT here: How To Upgrade XNAT.

You should also review our guidance for required plugin updates in the XNAT 1.9.0 Release Notes.
