Dear experts,

I've upgraded from 1.8.0 to 1.8.2, and the core xnat seems to work fine. (Great work!)
Only, the xsync plugin failed to stop working. I've now tried the following for a reset of this plugin: 1) delete cache and 2) delete *xsync* from the database

For some reason the xsync plugin does get loaded, but inside the database
it seems to get lost. In xdat.log I see errors on xsync:xsyncAssessorData datatype missing. On the web interface I see settings for the xsync in the plugin menu, but for projects "manage pages" the xsync pages fail to show.

My question: How can I go for a fresh start / install of the xsync plugin,
leaving the rest of my database intact? Or fix the error in xdat.log

Many thanks in advance !

Jan-Bernard

PS: I'm using the most recent plugin from xsync (1.4.0.1.jar)

Hi Jan-Bernard,

If there's errors about xsync:xsyncAssessorData missing, that suggests that the XSync jar isn't getting picked up by XNAT. If you go to Administer > Site Administration > Installed Plugins, do you see Xsync (or any other plugins for that matter) in the list? I suspect the list will be empty. If so, that's likely because you're (presumably) still running tomcat7. As of 1.8.2, XNAT is requiring tomcat 8 or tomcat 9 (release notes here: https://wiki.xnat.org/display/XNAT18/XNAT+1.8.2+Release+Notes). The main functionality of XNAT still works if you use tomcat 7 with XNAT 1.8.2, but what breaks is exactly picking up plugins.

Thanks,
Charlie

Ah great! Thanks for the hint, indeed :
I was under the impression I upgraded my tomcat, yet still running tomcat7 here!
