Adding custom variable set

Hi everyone,

I am trying to create variable set and add custom variables via api using following command.

curl -X PUT "http://localhost:8080/data/projects/TestProject/subjects/TestSub/experiments/removed?xnat:experimentData/fields/field%5Bname%3Dstatus%5D/field=approved"  -u  user:psw

It doesn't give error, but when I checked in session, no any variable set has been created.

Basically I want to create variable set as shown in image. I  created this via web app, but I need to create similar with XNAT api.

Please let me know if I missed anything in api.

Also, it would be great if any apis, that I can try would be provided.
