How would I go about getting Blather Chat Bot to do basic math?

Example:

User: 2 + 2

ChatBoy: 4

You would have to somehow parse the received message string, calculate the appropriate response, and send a reply message. The parsing of the body and calculation of the response are general Ruby/programming questions, and I suspect Stack Overflow would be a better venue for that.
