Hey all, apologies for all the ustore questions, getting down to
launch time and attempting to wrap up this project.
We have uStore version 3.7. Bottom line is all of our products
contain variable graphic elements uploaded by the customer. It's very
confusing when they see the "image thumbnail" in the cart that does
not show all the graphics they uploaded. I'm assuming grabbing a
thumbnail of the proof would require programing, so my thought was
hiding that image in the cart might be easier to accomplish. Any
ideas?? As always thanks for your input!

thumbnail image in the shopping cart is more to show what type of
product you are ordering , even if this will be an actual thumbnail it
so small that depends on the document user will not see his changes .

it is possible to hide it but it will affect all stores , if you don't
want affect all stores more complex intervention will be needed .
I'd suggest to use requiered property of the product that will be
visible in the cart, that way your customer will be able to annotate
and distinguish between even similar products in the cart.

I can't say i'm an expert in CSS, but i think you can hide the whole
TD of the thumbnails.
A TR in the cart has a CartListItem CSS class, and the TD you want to
hide is the second.
Same thing for the header, has a CartListHead class.

Hi,

This is one solution:

I wasn't able to get rid of the table column, but I was able to
replace the dynamically created image with a small clear one. This
makes the table column "less wide" but it doesn't go away altogether.
Hope that is OK.

NOTE: This will be a global uStore change - i.e. it will affect all
stores, not just this one. And after a major version update you may
have to go back and do the edit again (if the update is comprehensive
enough to overwrite this file with the default one or a new one).

The file that needs editing is:
E:\XMPie\uStore\App\CustomerApp\PricingModels\DefaultPricingModel
\ShoppingCart\ShoppingCartGrid.ascx

Keep a backup of the original ShoppingCartGrid(BKUP).ascx in that same
folder in case you ever need it.

Make a 1 pixel file transparent image in Photoshop and name it
"clear.png" Place it into the E:\XMPie\uStore\App\CustomerApp\Images
folder

In ShoppingCartGrid.ascx replace the line:
<img src='<%#
ThumbnailSource(Convert.ToInt32(DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,
"OrderProductId"))) %>' />
with
<img src="Images/clear.png">
