uPlan & desktop uImage

I am having a problem with uPlan 4.6 build 4153. When I try to enter the uImage license code the application quits. I know the serial number is good, because if I change one digit, the license registration module complains about an incorrect serial number.

Also, I have since downgraded to uPlan 4.0.3 and successfully loaded the uImage license. This was a huge pain because I had to also load CS3 and its 3 million updates. ;-}.

However,  I had a job that needed to be produced. I have logged a call with support, but have not heard back from them yet. Has anyone else experienced this? Is the uPlan 4.6 build 4153 current?

I am running 4.6.1 B4173 and the uPlan "Register License" also failed
for me when trying to register uImage. I was able to activate the
license from the uCreate using "Add License".

I hope you are running uCreate on your box.

I ran into that problem as well.

I think that the key that they give you does not include Uimage licences.

They gave me a new serial when that happened and it fixed the problem.

And don't wait for them to call you back, you'll wait forever.   They are looking at this user group :)

Yannick,

Whilst your right, several people from XMPie do help out in this forum, but
please don¹t treat it as an official support forum ­ its not. This group is
an amazing source of information based around peer-to-peer support, but
anything that is license orientated etc will of course need to go through
the official XMPie support team (to that end you need to raise a case with
them).

I could reproduce your problem both with 4.5.2, 4.6 and 4.6.1.
XMPie Support provided me with a "uPlan + uImage" combined License Key
(which you only need to activate, while you install uPlan; it is no
longer needed to go to Tools > Register License).
Thanks to this key, I can now produce uImages from uPlan.
The crash issue will be fixed later by XMPie, but the combined License
Key seems to be more than an acceptable workaround.

I got a new combo license from support and it worked exactly like you said.
It was a time consuming process. I originally reported this issue in April,
but to be fair, I kind of stopped hounding them until last week, when I
needed again.

Sanjay, The watermarks in uImage are due to not having registered the uImage license. Also I recommend deleting any images already created which have the watermarks. And also restart everything after adding the licence. Also, I am aware that you requested a license key reset and this was done by xmpie support regardless of your maintenance status.
