Hello Team,

When I copy and paste Arabic text from browser to for example NotePad/our software, the exclamation mark order is reversed.
Why does this happen and how do I fix it?

e.g the symbols like'$', '!' and '@'  should be on the left. But, I'm getting the symbols in reverse order as below.

"الافتتاح الكبير !"

Can someone help on this?

Thanks,
Surekha

Is your browser/desktop computer set up with a locale/region for right-to-left text input?

No, I did not do any set up.

For the text 'Grand Opening!', I used Google translator and copied Arabic text from there to text box/notepad.
When I copied Arabic text, I am able to paste the text properly, but it is misplacing the position of exclamatory mark( ! ).

I suggest you Google about it.
will show you how to change the browser localization manually.
Once you do this, you can right-click on the web page and see an option for left-to-right or right-to-left under the encoding option.
Switch to right-to-left then your paste into the browser will work fine with the Arabic text (including punctuation)

BTW - this has nothing to do with XMPie software - which is the focus of this forum.
