Is there a plugin for the automation of product selection within
UStore?
Our Plan proofs in UPlan and Uproduce - and we can see the data
linking within the store, but that is after selecting the item in the
store, our plan automates everything except for the document
selection. If we could automate this 1st step we could take the
customer directly from the upload of their two required files (in an
external app and datasource) directly to proofing and processing the
order in XMPie (using a view of the same datasource) UStore...
essentially we are looking to run through XMPie "lights out".

I do not fully understand your request , but it seems to me that you
can use uStore connect for such flow

We are attempting to build a UStore for a very large orginization; in doing so, they provide two files for upload and the respective data is stored in an SQL database. For every two files that they upload (one order) it may contain data for roughly 1000 documents of various templates (usually no more than about 5 to 10 pdf templates per request with upwards of several hundred of each template). We have noticed that going through UStore one must select a template (or document) then the recipient (datasource) can be tied to the document. We are trying to fill the cart through the use of a plan file and logic that ties into the SQL Datasource of mutiple tables to supply the appropriate information for each document. The appropriate data to fill the documents are being supplied through a database view developed from a structured database schema. We were thinking that it could be set up so that after they have uploaded, in an external app, the two files, to the SQL DB, containing the information for their "order" they would be able to login to UStore and proof the items in the cart and submit the order to be processed with out going through the "steps" of selecting the document and selecting the datasource. I hope this is more clear? would this require a plug-in/add-on or can this be done fully through an external app for uploading the information to the SQL database and then having the appropriate logic in the plan use the datasource to select the documents and fill the cart?

I am working on familiarizing myself with the APIs however, an external team has attempted this on another app and the information isn't always accurate through their attempt, so I am hesitant in manipulating through APIs I do not fully understand yet. I was thinking that this might be possible just through the plan file?

Ok, I see that it can be done through UStore Connect...Stepping through the SDK Connect example ...Any pointers on the XMPie APIs?

Igor,

Thank you for the previous response.

Browsing through the group here on google, I am picking up a few things. If you can't already tell I am new to XMPie... I have learned the processes of UProduce, UPlan, UCreate.

Is the SDK Connect example sufficient for learning to work with all the APIs I may need or would I need to contact, as I saw in here, the sales rep to get more detailed information on using the APIs?

Hi Jason,
uStore SDK consist of uStore API SDK as well , uStore Plug-in base
SDK.
There are several examples and one of them uStore Connect , .net
solution as well pdf doc that explains solution and you'll have to use
uStore API SDK
Now uStore API is not uproduce API , meaning this is not a platform
and it still has limited capabilities .

I advise you to get in touch with our support or directly with me
(XMPie Professional Services).
We can provide you with evrything you need , training ,
consulting ....
Igor.
