I have a ticket job that I'm trying to create as variable but I am struggling to figure out how best to tackle this beast.

Specs:
  • 43,897 tickets broken over 113 licensed sections of seats
  • Each section has either 3, 4, or 5 rows per section
  • e.g.
License #  Street Block Side of Block Cross Street Seats Per Row # of Rows Total # Tickets Ticket Price
    001 1800
    Westside (Btwn Grayson and Pearl) 122 4 488 $12.00
    002 1800
Eastside (Btwn Grayson and Casa Blanca) 180 3 540 $12.00
    003 1800
    Westside (Btwn Grayson and Pearl) 122 4 488 $12.00
    004 1800
Eastside (Btwn Grayson and Casa Blanca) 154 4 616 $12.00
     005  1800
    Westside (Btwn Grayson and Pearl) 122 4 488 $12.00
     006  1700
Eastside (Btwn Grayson and Casa Blanca) 154 4 616 $12.00

  • This continues all the way down to license 113. The tickets must be individually numbered
  • e.g.
  •            License #                Street Block        Side of Block                         Cross Street                           Row   Ticket #
    001 1800
Westside Between Grayson and Pearl 1 121
    001 1800
Westside Between Grayson and Pearl 1 122
    001 1800
Westside Between Grayson and Pearl 2 001
    001 1800
Westside Between Grayson and Pearl 2 002

Does anyone has ideas on how to set this up through uCreate without the tedious process of spelling out every single record in Excel?

Yes - use the total # tickets field in the dynamic print dialog to say number of records based on, then use record number - via GetEnv(CurrentRecordNumber)

Just realised this wouldn't give you a sequential ticket number, but should give the correct number of tickets. If tickets are individual pages you could possibly add a page number in Acrobat afterward?
