Good morning all,

Question, I need to integrate XMPie uStore to EFI's PACE MIS System. When someone orders in uStore I need EFI PACE to be able to make a job ticket, track inventory, etc. and then we bill the job.

Would it be better to contact Xerox Professional services to to do required work or EFI's technical services?

The company is considering EFI's Digital Store Front if I cannot get XMPie to integrate with PACE.

Thank you for any help with this,
Ed Wong

I understand that EFI PACE is said to be able to digest XML documents, via a hotfolder-based mechanism.

uStore can create an XML document, each time an order is placed (see Presets > Triggers), then store it in a folder (or post it to a Web Service).
The shape of this XML can be customized in Presets > System Setup > Message Template; having uStore's XML comply with EFI PACE is thus certainly possible.

You may want to contact Galvin Software, they have a solution that will connect the two nicely. They have done it for a few people already, and they are currently doing it for us. Otherwise you would need the EFI Pace API module which will run you roughly $21000.

Hi Ed, we too have EFI Pace and XMPie uStore. We also use EFI OPS with the pre-built Pace order data integration module. We are revisiting uStore and Pace integration for 2015 for various reasons. I was curious if you have moved forward with uStore / Pace integration. Thanks, Mark

I work for a company, Fraysen Systems.  We have a solution (OrderPlus) that a connects a storefront to a MIS system.  We've worked with uStore and PACE separately, but we could connect those two explicitly.  I can imagine we can easily create a version of our OrderPlus that moves orders from uStore automatically into PACE (without requiring EFI's $21K API module).  If you or anyone is interested, please let me know.  I'm trying to determine the level of interest in such a solution.  If there's enough interest in it, I'll have my team put it together.  Thanks.   - Anthony

Hi Anthony, thanks for asking, it can be tough for tech managers to find custom integration partners specific to the printing industry who already have experience with all the various printing vendor's software offerings they have deployed. We've found a reliable integration vendor who talks the talk and walks the walk and is helping us to reduce our manual touch points between various systems this year including uStore / Pace.

Mark -  Thanks replying back so quickly.  I agree that it can be tough.  We're hoping to help change that.  We have a platform technology that allows us to rapidly develop integration solutions (in weeks, not months).  Over the last year, we've been integrating with Pace, PrintSmith Vision, Accura MIS, Pageflex Storefront, XMPie uStore, and HP Smartstream.  I think our next couple technologies to integrate to will be PageDNA and Fiery or Heidelberg MIS, based upon interest level.  We're trying hard to integrate with all the key players so we can help the print industry to get all their tools talking together.   - Anthony
